  • I hereby christen the VN thread open! (Okay, so you got to it first... it still counts!) lol

Or... at least I would if I could see a button to add an image. How come I don't see that?

    >.>
    <.<

    I must be blind.
  • It's not a proper button. The "Attach a file" is right under the Write Comment box. Right under it!

  • Hmmm... okay, now I see an Insert image button, but no browse for my computer with which to upload it. Only a URL option. Is that correct?
  • Nope.  The link she means isn't there.  It's supposed to be right between the "back to discussions" button and the text-area you type a post into.  But it ain't there.

  • OK, why do *I* see the freaking thing?

I'm going back to the default theme. See if you can see it yet, guys.

  • Good news is that maybe the other theme didn't break the link. I still can't see "Attach a file " even with the default theme.

The only difference I can think of is that your log in access is the highest. Could there be some setting with regard to what access level that links can be seen by that could be causing it the issue?

    Just wild guessing.
  • Hi, all! Count me as one who can't see the attach file link either.

  • PHEW. Yes, *flips switches a few times* Seems to be working now. Just adjusted some colors...a spot of CSS touch-up here and there--until LT says I have to redecorate. :)

  • I have severe astigmatism from childhood rubella.  I do best with 1) white background, black text; 2) black background, white text, 3) black background, gold (#FAAC06) text.  Anything else tends to give me migraines after awhile.

  • I hate to be a whiner and a critic, but I agree that there's not enough contrast. Black text?

Stylesheets are the bleh. Oh wait... Nan haz Dreamweaver!
    Suspiro ergo sum.
  • We're fiddling folks. Bear with us.
  • Guys, we're working on this. I'm having CSS issues. Also, LT needs to know that we need more contrast. I agree, this is not right.

  • No, this isn't right yet. We'll get it back to being contrasty enough. Not to worry. Just give Nan and I some time to get it sorted out.
  • If you can turn on the little check boxes, I can split the discussion to a separate thread to leave this one for VN renders.

  • OK, let me do that.

I'm sorry about the contrast--this is not the final. I'm just struggling with the funky multilayered CSS. We won't make your eyes hurt forever, I promise. :)

Well, the stylesheet is using #333 over #F2F2F2.  It'd be better as #000000 over #FFFFFF, for my eyes, but I can over-ride the forum settings in firefox, no worries.

  • The stupid part is this is only an issue when I'm reading on a computer screen.  Looking at graphics or reading from a book, this is never an issue.

Computer screens are kinda tough, alright. I'm glad FF can compensate.

Oh jeez. Welcome to contemporary English usage, it's just as obscure as before. It meant that you had a choice of one or the other.

  • For Raet and others: I believe email notifications are ON by default. See your user name in the little panel on the right side? That's your profile page. Go there and look under your name/picture for "Settings." Clicky that baby and do checkboxes; save.

That's the same place you go to upload an avatar.
