The shadow art also has a tutorial purpose for us as well: The shapes the shadows make are as important in a picture as the lit shapes. :)

Art classes + cinema classes (ie lighting techniques) should make a fascinated daughter, but then there's summer laziness and a (still teen in spite of being almost 21) aversion to challenges. Especially if Mom should dare to say "dare you" or some such. :P

Thanks for sharing those links Nano, the shadow art and sound sculpture are quite amazing. Followed the links. Some of the other shadow art pieces are very clever. Not so sure about the severed heads though!
So far Daz site seems a step backwards rather than 'new and improved'. The 'promotions' page is definitely buggy, tells me I'm not logged in and have things in my cart when the opposite is true of both cases; and the other pages seem to fluctuate between working/not. The much lauded zip file downloads also only appear to be for mac users, leastwise the ones I got were. I was expecting something along the lines of the rendo downloads with a nice file system I could copy to my preferred location.

Maybe this will be the charmed third time where they'll learn to make sure something is finished (at least 95%) before launching? One can only hope.

Noticed that too. They probably turned access off so that they weren't inundated with complaints. They don't seem to have fixed anything at all over the weekend. Perhaps they are blissfully unaware there is anything wrong....due to no forum posts.
