Any time Hollywood invades, it's a flaming PITA for the locals. When they descended on DC to shoot some stuff for Captain America 2: Winter Soldier it was a serious mess for anyone who wanted to get anywhere downtown.

That was the big complaint Tuesday. People were having to go way around to get anywhere and a couple of folks expressed the opinion that the businesses which couldn't function for the day needed to be reimbursed for the lost revenue. I don't know if that happened or not. Other wise a lot of people are happy because the movie people are spending money here.

lolOn a note- I've finally figured out how to hand edit normal maps to a small degree. I'm happy!
I noted in WIPs thread to take into account that Poser also needs and extra 10-20 pixels around the outside of its UV maps or you'll see ugly seams.

Took me a whole other day to wake up. Egad, yesterday was hard physically. Then the traffic crawled toward home--and into a real frog-strangler of a thunderstorm with downpour. And out of it. Given it took over an hour to make the drive, I probably averaged 15 mph on a 17 mile drive. >_< Was exhausted after that. Had to sit on the front porch with a nice cigar and watch a surreal sunset and read.
Finally caught the first episode of True Detective on HBO. Was its usual WTF start-off, yay!
Left a salad and grilled cheese out for Kay. Since she didn't wake me up to demand food, I gather by the plates in the sink that it was OK. There might have been a warm lump under the covers next to me last night.
Next thing I know, the cats are trying to dig me out of bed. (They scratch at the covers and butt their heads on me.)
Today I put up Das Booties for the beta testers. The ones outside the SJC bunch (Jim, Terre, Wayii, and the rest of youze).
Gotta fit Das Booties to V4. Urrrrgh. At least it's not making thumbnails. 64 thumbnails!

Also, am supremely unimpressed with Genesis 3/V7. They used the 3DsMax biped rigging. New? Nope. Just another way to shut out Poser users. Why? Why can't we all just get along? The makers of modo don't go around slamming Maya. Maya users hopefully don't try to beat up Max users on street corners.
