As for the heat: Glasgow had temps in the mid to high twenties when I left. The Fatherland experiences the same right now. It was 28 degrees at my folk's place today and easily more than that in Cologne where I visited friends.
Been just as nastily hot here in the D.C. area. Raet, you went to the big party in Köln, eh? Sweet. :)

Sadly, no. Missed Pride Cologne or Christopher Street Dayvas we Germans call it. That was the week before I got over, but hey, summer is Pride season, so I'm not too fussed. Went to cologne this week just to see friends of mine. Had a great time.

Childhood treat. You never outgrow the wanting. And safer than a wish for Bluebell's mint chocolate chip.
Heh. For me, it's a cinnamon phyllo-stick dipped in milk chocolate, the stick made with about half and half brown sugar and cinnamon, heavy on the butter. And real cinnamon, not the casseia crap. The chocolate was made creamy, rich, starts melting as soon as you touch it, and had just the slightest, ever-so-faint hint of mint.
Oh. My. God.
Discovered those in England, in a local candy-shop. They were made there, not pre-packaged.
Christ. Heaven tastes like that.
And I can still taste it, over thirty-six years later.

Hmm, what can I give out for Halloween treats....?
EDIT : We could, each of us, take something we imaged during the year apart and make a wallpaper to share! For folks like Terre, who don't depict, don't worry. I'm sure there will be extras.
I've been living in Vue-land the past six months...so I've got a ton of scenery hanging around to share.

I'll be out scaring Glasgow's gay population, especially if their karaoke requires my ears to be retuned like the last time. Telling you, nails down blackboards produce sweeter sounds then some of our Friday night singers. In fact, "care in the community" is what it is...no, wait that is unfair on the "care in the community folks".
