  • ...I wonder. A marshmallow should be easy to model, yes? *Slow grin* I'm going to try when I get home. I wanna see if I can actuallY DO something in modeling. *Nod* Thank you for the idea, dollface. *Squishhug*

  • LOL- it's supposed to be a rock set from Aery Soul's freebies. But..I won't tell if you won't. ;) Oo. I'll see how squishy I can get one. I was thinking textures, a quick UV map...Little things so I can learn HOW to do them correctly.

  • Until I had some practice and watched a shitload of videos on the subject, I felt there was no such thing as a quick UV map. But you are probably more experienced than I, despite your modesty.  Mind you, it gets a lot faster...eventually.

And... that's an AS rock set? I could swear they were fallen marshmallows on sticks!

  • Yeah, and that's AFTER I tweaked the bump and used it in the displacement node too.  It always has looked 'marshmallow' to me too. *grin*

Eh, I can see how 'quick' it'll be, yes?

  • It's rainy outside, but inside, they're... plotting? Having a philosophical discussion? Arguing about the best way to...???

I just can't get close enough to hear, and my figment-spies won't tell me anything. Something's happening, is all I can say.

You should get him then.  He is super cute, after all.
  • Something's happening. But with this crew, it's bound to be, um... unexpected, to say the least. Well, I wish them luck. Hopefully, someone will come along and help them sort things out.

  • Hi everyone, finally found the Nursoda group.  Posting this oldie to test if animations will work in the thread.

  • After you upload, mouse-hover over the attached image.  You will see an option labeled "Insert Image".  Click it, and the image will be inserted into the document.  Then, the animations will work. :)  I've done this for you, so you can see that it really does work. :)

  • Oh - and the reason why the little preview thingie isn't animated is because when you upload an image, the forum software takes the datastream for the image file (allowing PNG, JPG and GIF) and generates "preview" image to display there in the same format, with images being reduced in size using what appears to be straight bilinear resampling.  As this is literally a bit-by-bit datastream read, animated .gif files will only have the first frame read.

  • Xaa...thanks so much for the help!  I wasn't sure what to do, so I appreciate the explanation.   I'll try that the next time I upload an animation.

Elynda, I finally found you.  You know what this means of course....haha.

    ~skylab  :)

  • oh, sky, that was so cute :)

Slon is a Poser character by Nursoda, available here:

    http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/slon/81622

He's currently on sale for $6.80.

As to what he is, well...  He's a slon. ;-)  The term means "Elephant" in Czech, which I think is Nursoda's native language.  I use him as an alien in the comic series I'm working on.  Others just use him as a cute, toony character.
