I thought I started this thread for all us creators, be it modelers or texture artists... because I have stumbled across so many good things lately that helped me a lot... and they might help you as well? I think, it is good to have a place to look around and to find stuff, so I started this thread.
Since I spend a lot of time texturing, I´d like to share some of my favorite brush sets... more to come!
Those are all for photoshop and will as well work in Gimp:
Wonderful scale brusehs : Look here! (I have been using those a lot lately!)
Skin Pore Brushes, also useful for short hair stubble, dust and dirt... Click here!
Stone Texture Brushes (works also fine for rough skin on certain creatures): Find them here!
Tree Bark Brushes: Get them here!
Chainmail Brush Set (I love those!): Click here!

Aww poo, you are using a mouse? With a tablet they move smoothly and sensitive to pressure...Or maybe I did not understand you the right way, hahaha... XD
What I do is having the textures created with them on extra layers where I can move areas around, rotate them, transform them in what way ever... not the most perfect way but still saves time compared to painting scales for example.

I don't seem to be able to open the scale or tree bark ones though. Since I don't use photohop I convert abr files using abrMate or abrViewer, neither of which will open those two files.
Don't know if anyone wants this- it's a caustics generator. Free to download and use as long as it's not in commercial work.
Wasn't sure, so I thought "what the hell?" and slapped it in. XD
You're more than welcome, of course!
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
